The Organization is maintaining and developing rules and regulations for the classification of ships and yachts used for pleasure or commercial use (professional yachts).
Such rules and regulations are used for new constructions and existing ships in service and yachts. The rules and regulations concerning pleasure and commercial yachts are suitable for several materials of building like wood, plastic (GRP) and aluminum.
In the case of ships and yachts, under Hellenic flag, the rules and regulations are supplementary supported by the relative requirements of Hellenic legislation in cases like ship’s recognition as passenger etc.
